Google Glass and MSK ultrasound: the future of Physiotherapy

Using MSK ultrasound will lead to better patient care and more patient satisfaction.

Glass has provided a platform to position a live MSK ultrasound image for us to view while examining the patient. This technology will allow the physicians of the future to embrace placing ones hand on the body while receiving both palpation and visual stimulation. The hand serves as an ultrasound probe. This permits us to evaluate the patient’s expression as well as viewing the dynamic anatomy while receiving palpation stimulation... Triple feedback, previously never witnessed in medicine. Finally, the patient feels the comfort of the human touch, which cannot be replaced or measured but is notably missed.
